This project is specifically for women in their 40s, 50s, 60s, and beyond.
For many years, I have been wondering why are we trained by society to have our portraits done on three occasions: when we graduate high school, when we get married, and when we wish to have a family portrait.
What if you did not graduate? What if you did not get married? What if you got divorced? What if you don't have a family? What if you simply wish to celebrate YOU?
I am on a mission to photograph 20 women over the age of 40 and share their experiences! I believe that every woman has a story and I would like to use YOURS to inspire and empower others! Let's capture this magnificent moment in your life and celebrate the legacy you will leave behind!

This topic has been on my mind for several years. At some point, I realized that most women do not have a portrait that will define them for the next generations. Not a cell phone snippet that is stored in a cloud, but a proper portrait that depicts them in a way they should be remembered.
I grew to realize that women feel guilty about having a photo session for themselves and not for the whole family, or they simply feel they need to lose weight, or change their hair, or have a beauty procedure to minimize wrinkles, or... Believe me, I understand all of that! But the reality is that you are as young today as you will ever be! You are beautiful the way you are! And every shape and form should be celebrated!

How many participants are you looking for?
I plan to photograph 20 women over the age of 40, so the space is limited.
What is the criteria for participation in this project?
What is the cost to participate?
- Zoom or in-person styling consultation
- Professional hair and make-up
- Photo session with unlimited outfits
- Image selection
- Skilled photo editing
- Product ordering and delivery
- One portrait (7 by 10 print, elegantly matted to 11 by 14, and accompanied by a social media-sized digital file)
- One complimentary ticket for the end-of-project exhibit that will celebrate all the participants.
I have never been photographed professionally and don't know how to pose. Will you guide me?
Absolutely! I prepare for each photoshoot based on our consultation. I select poses that are most flattering for each person I photograph. You do not need to have any experience, it is my job to make you look spectacular!
I do not have anything to wear. Do I need to purchase a new wardrobe?
During the consultation, we will discuss the style and wardrobe. It is always fun to get new outfits and if that is what you are looking for, we will talk about what to get and where to shop. However, we will look at your wardrobe and my client's closet to discover the possibilities and design the styling that is right for you.
Do you include hair and make up in the experience?
Yes, the hair and make-up are included. We will talk about the look you would prefer and my hair stylist will work with you on creating the best look for you.
How long will the photo shoot take?

- break with snacks/drinks (30 minutes)
- image selection (1 hour)
During the image selection, you will choose the hero image included in the experience. You will also decide if you wish to purchase additional images and select the ones you want edited.
It seems like a long time but it will be fun and the time will go by quickly.

What is the end-of-project exhibit?
The goal of this project is to celebrate women over the age of 40 and will culminate with a gallery-style exhibit where you will be able to invite your friends and family and share your experience and your story. One of your portraits and your story will be displayed in the exhibit. Drinks and appetizers will be included.

Yes, this portrait experience isn't just about capturing beautiful images; it's about creating a platform for self-expression, a space to share wisdom, and a reminder that each one of us is worth celebrating. So come, step into the spotlight, and let your voice be heard.
I will interview you, and your story will be shared on my website, social media, and during the end-of-project exhibit.
I also may share your before and after photos.
